Metabolic peptidesPXL770 — direct AMPK activator (a small molecule, not a peptide)PXL770 is a synthetic small molecule (a thienopyridone derivative) from Poxel SA, a first-in-class direct allosteric AMPK activator. Target engagement was confirmed in humans in phase 1b, but the phase 2a STAMP-NAFLD trial missed its primary endpoint; the programme was redirected to ADPKD and X-ALD, where the data remain preclinical.
