Bioregulators & AntioxidantsPinealon (Glu-Asp-Arg, EDR): a Khavinson short peptidePinealon is a synthetic Glu-Asp-Arg (EDR) tripeptide from the Khavinson family of short peptides, studied as a neurotropic bioregulator. In preclinical models EDR penetrates the cell nucleus, interacts site-specifically with double-stranded DNA and modulates gene expression while lowering reactive oxygen species. This monograph summarizes its chemistry, molecular mechanism and the published research record; for research use only (RUO).
