KLOW blend — lab handling, reconstitution and storage
Form & composition
KLOW is supplied as a white lyophilized solid in an 80 mg vial: GHK-Cu 50 mg, BPC-157 10 mg, TB-500 10 mg, KPV 10 mg. Purity is ≥99% by HPLC, with a batch certificate of analysis included. The material is research-use-only (RUO), not for human or veterinary use.
Reconstitution
The lyophilizate is reconstituted with sterile bacteriostatic water (water for injection with 0.9% benzyl alcohol), which suits repeated withdrawals thanks to the preservative. The diluent volume is chosen for the desired working concentration; typically 2–3 mL per vial gives a convenient concentration for pipetting. Add the diluent slowly, directing the stream against the glass wall of the vial rather than straight onto the powder. Leave the vial to dissolve fully without vigorous shaking — short peptides are sensitive to shear stress and foaming. The finished solution takes on a bluish tint from the GHK-Cu copper complex; this is normal.
Storage
A sealed lyophilized vial is most stable in a freezer (−20 °C), protected from light and moisture; it keeps for months this way. Room temperature is acceptable for brief transit, since the dry lyophilized form is only mildly hygroscopic. Once reconstituted, keep the solution refrigerated (2–8 °C) and use it within a short stability window; repeated freeze–thaw is undesirable.
Stability
The dry form is markedly more stable than the solution. In solution, degradation accelerates with temperature, light exposure and freeze cycles. Cloudiness, flakes or a persistent precipitate (other than the expected blue coloration) indicate degradation — such material is unsuitable for accurate measurement. For experiments, record the reconstitution date and storage conditions of each aliquot.
Research applications
The all-in-one-vial format is convenient for comparative studies of how four tissue-repair pathways interact in controlled in vitro / in vivo models. Because the components are present in a fixed ratio (5:1:1:1), separate titration of each peptide is not possible — for single-component dose-response work, use the individual reagents. Working under a laminar hood with clean pipetting and proper aliquot labeling supports reproducibility.
