SLU-PP-332 is studied for its role in "programmable exercise" research — activating the same muscle gene programmes that physical exertion switches on, without the exertion itself. It is a synthetic small-molecule agonist of the estrogen-related receptors (ERRα/β/γ), investigated as an exercise mimetic. It is not a peptide but a small molecule (an acylhydrazone), developed as a chemical tool to activate the ERR/PGC-1α axis that governs mitochondrial biogenesis and fatty-acid oxidation.
In preclinical rodent studies from the Burris laboratory, SLU-PP-332 switched on an ERRα-dependent «acute aerobic exercise» gene programme in muscle, increased endurance and energy expenditure, and reduced fat-mass gain without changing food intake. All of these findings are from cells and mice — there are no human trials.
This is a rare, frontier ERR-agonist research chemical that sits well outside the usual peptide catalogue. See the linked monograph and handling guide for the full scientific and storage detail.
