BPC-157 is a stable pentadecapeptide (15 amino acids) derived from a gastric protective protein, studied for angiogenesis and fibroblast migration. TB-500 is a synthetic actin-binding fragment of thymosin β4, studied for cell migration and extracellular-matrix remodelling. The mechanisms are distinct and are described in the literature as complementary, which is why the pair is commonly run together.
