What is the half-life of SS-31?
The half-life of SS-31 (elamipretide) is approximately 3–4 hours in healthy adults by parenteral administration, from the FDA pharmacokinetic review (NDA 215244, n=32). Not to be confused with the inactive M2 metabolite, whose half-life is considerably longer at 20.5–24 hours. See the Dosing section for detail.
