Thymosin Beta-4 (Tβ4) is described in classic chemical-characterization work as a peptide of 43 amino acid residues. This is not the same molecule as TB-500: the short 7-amino-acid fragment of Tβ4 (Ac-LKKTETQ), which Longeva already offers separately.
The full-length molecule contains several short regions linked to different activities: the central LKKTETQ region (residues 17-23) is associated with G-actin binding and cytoskeletal regulation, while a separate N-terminal region of the molecule is associated in the literature with angiogenesis-related activity. Based on these regions, Tβ4 is studied in preclinical models of wound healing, angiogenesis (new blood vessel formation), and cell migration.
In research catalogs, the name "Thymosin Beta-4" is sometimes used to refer to TB-500 itself, so before relying on a specific study, check the amino acid sequence, molecular weight, and COA of the actual batch.
